Colin Cowherd: There is No Market to Sign Cam Newton
Colin Cowherd: “The Redskins last week traded for Cam Newton’s backup [Kyle Allen] and the coach who did that used to be Cam’s head coach, Ron Rivera… There is a total disconnect between the media’s perception of Cam and executives. The executives are seeing a quarterback who after his MVP season is a .500 quarterback, who completes only 59% of his throws, that doesn’t win a lot, and whose passer rating is in the mid-80’s. Check out the audio above as Colin details why he never thought the market for Cam was going to be very big, as Colin has long compared Cam to NBA player Carmelo Anthony, as a guy that everybody seems to like, but a player that no one wants to play with.
