The world of mixed martial arts is mourning former Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter Tim Hague, who was fatally injured in a boxing match in Edmonton Friday. 

His sister, Jackie Neil, confirmed Sunday that the 34-year-old, who was knocked out and suffered a brain hemorrhage, had died, the CBC reports. "It is with incredible sadness, sorrow, and heartbreak to report that Tim has passed away today," she said. "

He was surrounded by family, listening to his favourite songs. We will miss him so greatly." Hague, who fought in the UFC as "The Thrashing Machine" between 2009 and 2011, was active in MMA for 10 years but had been focusing on boxing since last year, according to Bleacher Report.
